India's results, medal table - complete list and table for the Paris 2024 Paralympics

At the forthcoming Paris 2024 Paralympics, which will take place from August 28 to September 8, a record 84 paraathletes will represent India.

At the Paris 2024 Paralympics, India will compete in 12 different disciplines—three more than in Tokyo 2020.

India's gold medallists at the Tokyo Paralympics, javelin thrower Sumit Antil and shooter Avani Lekhara, will lead their country's delegation in Paris. India's first female gold medallist at the Paralympic Games is Avani Lekhara, while Sumit Antil has the world record throw of 73.29 meters.

Mariyappan Thangavelu is a two-time Paralympic medallist in high jumping. In Rio 2016 he took home the gold, and in Tokyo 2020 he got silver.

The first-ever Paralympian medal winners from India are para-table tennis player Bhavina Patel and archer Harvinder Singh, who will compete for a second medal.

India's most successful Paralympic Games to date came in Tokyo 2020, where the nation took home 19 medals, including five gold, eight silver, and six bronze.

In Paris 2024, Indian para athletes will compete in three new sports: blind judo, para rowing, and para cycling.

In the men's C2 paracycling events, Arshad Shaik will compete, and in the women's C2 events, Jyoti Gaderiya will.

In blind judo, Kapil Parmar will compete in the men's 60kg J1 event. Kokila, a competitor in the women's 48kg J2 division, will accompany Parmar. In the PR3 mixed doubles sculls in pararowing, Anita and K. Narayana will compete on behalf of India.

India has competed admirably at the Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024.

Avani Lekhara set a world record in the women's 10m air rifle standing SH1 shooting event to retain her title and become the first Indian woman to win two gold medals at the Paralympic Games. It was also the first time India had two podium finishes in a single Paralympic event, with Mona Agarwal taking home the bronze.

Prior to placing second, armless archer Sheetal Devi momentarily owned the world record score in the ranking round. Afterwards, Rakesh Kumar and Sheetal Devi worked together to qualify a mixed team with a world record score compound.

With a personal best time, Preethi Pal won bronze in the women's 100-meter T35 competition. It was the first-ever medal for India in a Paralympic track event.

India has so far taken home four medals from the Paris 2024 Paralympics: two bronze, one silver, and one gold.
