Sanjoy Roy is the main suspect in the rape and killing of a trainee physician at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.

Sanjoy Roy, the primary suspect in the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata, had a lie-detector test on Sunday. The arrested civic volunteer was subjected to a test by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

As the investigation into the charges of corruption against the previous principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital carries on, a CBI official responded to ANI's question about specific proof by saying, "Bahut kuch hai" (There is enough).

Officials claimed on Sunday that Sanjay Roy, the primary accused in the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College, underwent a lie detecting test at Kolkata's Presidency Jail.

Sanjoy Roy had already claimed that he was being "framed" to a judge at the Kolkata Court. When asked to give his permission to take the polygraph, Sanjoy Roy sobbed in court and said he had not "committed a crime."

"The polygraph test would prove his innocence," Roy was believed to have stated.

Sanjoy Roy has reportedly been murmuring since being transferred to the Presidential jail, according to News18 Bangla. According to reports, Sanjoy Roy often declared he didn't know "anything" as he entered the jail or prison cell. According to reports, Roy has also asked to be permitted to "sleep peacefully."

According to reports, Sanjay Roy told the jail officers he didn't know about the alleged rape and murder.

The civic volunteer's demeanor upon his arrest was entirely different from this. Prior local news reports claimed that Sanjoy Roy had displayed a "don't care" demeanor during his detention. In the Kolkata doctor rape and murder case, the principal accused has not demonstrated any remorse, according to Kolkata Police's testimony.

On Sunday, two more people will take the test at the CBI office in Kolkata. On Saturday, a polygraph test was administered to four people, including Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Hospital.

The tests are being conducted by a team of polygraph experts who were flown to Kolkata from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Delhi.

On August 10, the day after the 31-year-old medic's body was discovered in the medical college's seminar hall, Sanjoy Roy was taken into custody by the Kolkata Police.

Sanjoy Roy was apprehended when CCTV footage and a Bluetooth headphone were discovered close to the body of the Kolkata doctor. Sanjoy Roy was reportedly observed entering the college seminar hall where the body was discovered at roughly four in the morning, according to the investigation notes.

Sanjoy Roy, 33, has been a civic volunteer with the Kolkata Police since 2019.

The accused, a professional boxer, is said to have developed close relationships with a number of top police officers over the course of his career. As a result, he was assigned to the police outpost at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital and transferred to the Kolkata Police Welfare Board.

Sanjoy Roy refutes the accusations leveled against him.

In the midst of a single arrest, TMC's Kunal Ghosh questioned the CBI's activities. "The rape-murder case needs to be resolved fast; the Kolkata Police have made the lone arrest thus far. What does the CBI carry out?Politics are ongoing while it is being postponed. Ghosh inquired.
