Karnataka CM said - IED blast in Bangalore cafe: A person left a bag, there was an explosion in it; 9 injured.

The CCTV footage of the bomb blast that occurred at the Rameshwaram café has been released.

A detonation rocked a café in Rameshwaram, Bangalore, at approximately 1 pm on Friday, leaving 9 individuals wounded. Promptly following the incident, emergency responders including the bomb squad, forensic teams, and NIA swiftly mobilized to probe the explosion.

Initial reports from the fire brigade and Whitefield police suggested a cylinder explosion. However, upon arrival at the scene, it became evident that the café's wall had been shattered, with debris strewn across tables.

Subsequently, two BJP MPs voiced suspicions regarding the nature of the blast, asserting it was a bomb detonation. By evening, at around 5:30 pm, CM Siddaramaiah officially declared it a low-intensity IED explosion, attributing it to an unidentified individual leaving a bag in the café premises.

Found amidst the aftermath were batteries, a charred bag, and several ID cards, indicating potential evidence. The state's Home Minister emphasized that the blast occurred in a seating area, dismissing the possibility of a cylinder explosion in that vicinity. Investigations remain ongoing, with the DGP highlighting the anticipation of forensic findings.

This is a video taken immediately after the incident, showing people running away.

Karnataka DGP Alok Mohan reported, "An explosion has occurred at a café in Whitefield, Bangalore. I personally visited the site of the incident. Detailed briefings have been provided to both the CM and Home Minister. Nine individuals have sustained injuries. Our investigative efforts are actively underway, and we anticipate obtaining a comprehensive report from the forensic team."
